Announcing MAPAM's new "PFS Think Tank" Quarterly Webinar Series!

These quarterly meetings will bring together PFS staff from various providers and the Massachusetts Hospital Association to collaborate on challenging issues affecting all group members. Through audience engagement, consensus issues will be identified and escalated to work towards improvements.  The PFS Think Tank will focus on widespread issues across the provider community, and where previous efforts to address have been unsuccessful. We will leverage the combined voice of this group to highlight these issues and work for better outcomes.

Three general areas of focus for this webinar will be:

Payer Issues and Behavior: Payer p[policy updates outside of the contract process.  Backlogs for clinical appeal review.  Pre-payment medica record requests.  Non-compliant 835/837 formatting demands.

Payer Claims/Denial Trends: High denial volume outliers by payer.  ER level of care downcoding, medical record requests for ER levels 4/5.  Pre-payment medical record requests when OP or IP auth is on file.

Service Line Issues: Behavioral Health, Medicaid NICU split bills, etc.
