Medicare 340B Drug Changes effective January 1, 2018

CMS will apply a 22.5% reduction to drugs purchased through the 340B program.  This could have a significant impact on your revenue if you are a 340B participant. 

Objective:

·         Explain which drugs are impacted by the price reduction

·         Provide new modifier that identify claims eligible for the price reduction

·         Identify which facilities are exempt from the reduction

This presentation will show why a complete “chart to charge to claim” review is important to protect your revenue. While a clean Chargemaster is important, there may be other issues not easily seen. We will provide examples of issues found and how you can prevent them at your facility.
